Description

Gothic ruins of the Abbey Church and Cathedral of Maillezais, built in the 11th century by Abbot Théodelin, beautifully restored in the 15th century by Bishop Jean d'Amboise. The printed text mentions the five spires, two towers, and the tombs of dukes and bishops of Aquitaine. The reverse indicates the publisher 'Phototypie Jehly-Poupin' in Mortagne-sur-Sèvre (Vendée).
