Description

View of the Gothic ruins of the abbey and cathedral of Maillezais from the 11th century, with an inscription detailing its construction by Abbot Théodelin, its restoration by Bishop Jean d'Amboise in the 15th century, and its completion by the bishops of Maillezais after the Revolution. Back: handwritten message dated July 26, addressed to Raffellès, signed by Georges, with a poetic dedication and indication of the publisher Phototype Jehle-Roupin in Martigues-sur-Sèvre.
