View of the Château de Maintenon in the 17th century, with a canal in the foreground and a garden. Printed text on the front relates the history of the castle, begun by Philippe Auguste and partially built by Jean Cottereau in the 15th century. The reverse is blank, with a 0.10 c. stamp and a note regarding correspondence reservation.
