Colored view of the Marktplatz in Mainz, with the central fountain and buildings with colored facades. The reverse has a handwritten letter dated Wednesday, sent from Mainz to Paris, mentioning a return to Mainz and a meeting at the Olympia. A stamp is affixed at the top left, with partial cancellation.
