View of a large hospital in Düsseldorf, with a central building with a pointed roof and symmetrical wings, bordered by trimmed hedges and lampposts. The printed text at the bottom indicates 'Marienhospital, Düsseldorf'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 7 June 1948, addressed to Mr. Pierre Aspary, mentions a visit to the hospital and the chief physician. The publisher 'B. Röthlein, M. Glaubach' is printed at the bottom left.
