View of the Bab Mansour gate in Meknès, built in 1731, with stone arches and walls decorated with motifs. In the foreground, people on horseback and on foot cross the square. Reverse: handwritten text dated May 27, 1928, addressed to 'dear Gillette', signed 'Plavie', recalling an old friendship and mentioning 'the duchesses of marjen age'.
