Colored view of the Old Port of Marseille with numerous sail and steam boats moored, lively quays with carts and pedestrians, and a city background with buildings. On the reverse, a 5-centime French postage stamp, postmark from Marseille dated 2-1-09, handwritten message addressed to Mr. Ferrero-Victor in Bône (Algeria) with the inscription 'Best wishes for a happy new year to all.'
