Black and white view of the Corniche in Marseille at sunset, with two silhouettes sitting on a rock in the foreground and a lighthouse visible on the horizon. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated August 1st, 1904, addressed to Madame Germaine Béruillard in Liège, with a green 5-centime stamp and a circular cancellation of 'CARE' (Carcassonne).
