View of the Corniche in Marseille with the Palace-Hôtel in the background, overlooking the sea and quays. The reverse has handwritten text dated 18 September 1942, addressed to a 'Monsieur' in Châtangoutis, with signature 'Lamott' and note '28. 2e 14k'. A postmark is affixed at the bottom right.
