Description

Postcard depicting the large bell of N.D. de la Garde in Marseille, cast in 1845 by the Morel House of Lyon and dedicated by Mgr Eugène de Mazenod. Printed text indicates its dimensions (2 m 40 in diameter, 2 m 50 in height) and its weight (8234 kg). Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Mrs. Velay, mentioning the recipient's health and the absence of her husband. Postmark and cancellation visible.
