View of the Town Hall in Melun with the statue of Jacques Amyot in the center, in front of an iron gate. On the back, a postcard sent to Mr. and Mrs. Lafies, 175 Rue de Charles, Paris XV arrondissement, with a 10-centime postage stamp and a Melun dispatch postmark from August 14, 1903. The front has a handwritten inscription at the top: 'Toute amitié je t'envoie toujours à peu près pareille et je ne sais pas encore ce beau temps'.
