View of the hermitage of Saint-Privat in Mende, nestled in a rocky promontory, with a small chapel with a bell tower and a staircase leading to an adjacent building. The reverse side features a handwritten letter in cursive script, addressed to 'Margot' and dated 'la Paix le 13 pluviôse', mentioning a visit to 'la Maison' and an invitation to see 'mon Pierrot'.
