View of Menton beach under a sea surge with powerful waves breaking on the shore, with the village nestled at the foot of steep hills in the background. On the reverse, a handwritten letter addressed to 'Madame Dore' in Grenoble, with two French stamps (10c and 5c) and a postmark from '5 MIR' dated March 14, 1908.
