View of the Mer de Glace glacier and the Hotel du Montanvert at an altitude of 1909 m, with a multi-storey building at the edge of the glacier. On the reverse, handwritten address to Madame E. Hackel in Grenoble, green 15-centime stamp, and a postmark from Chamonix (15-7-1904).
