Colored view of the Esplanade and beach of Mers-les-Bains, with pedestrians, striped umbrellas and cliffs in the background, dated from the International Colonial Exhibition of Paris 1931. On the reverse, a postcard sent to Joseph Serinette in Chauny (Aisne), with handwritten text indicating arrival at the Marché Square, and a 40-cent postage stamp canceled in Mers-les-Bains on May 29, 1931.
