View of the equestrian monument of Emperor Wilhelm I on the Esplanade in Metz, dated March 4, 1904. The reverse side bears an address in Verdun, with a German 430 pfennigs stamp and a postmark from Verdun-sur-Meuse dated 5-3-04. The handwritten text mentions 'Paris place Chambre' and 'Hôtel de'.
