View of the Gothic cathedral in Metz, north-west side, with Saint-Étienne Square in the background. The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated September 19, 1913, sent from Plappeville to Monsieur Barrault in Paris, with a 10 pfennigs stamp and a Plappeville cancellation.
