View of the Prefecture in Metz, an imposing building with tiled roofs and shuttered windows, surrounded by trees and gardens. In the foreground, pedestrians and a cyclist cross the paved street. Reverse: red 4 centimes stamp, Metz postal cancellation dated October 19, 1927, handwritten address to Billancourt (Seine), and note 'MARQUE REFUSÉE' in the lower left corner.
