Description

Humorous illustration of soldiers in camp uniform in a dining hall, some fighting with cushions, others sleeping or standing. Printed text at the top: 'Aux Polochons !!'. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated April 6, 1929, addressed to a 'dear friend', discussing military life and the difficulty of adjusting to civilian life. A 10-centime stamp of the French Republic, with visible cancellation.
