Description

View of the Grande Rue in Baccarat after the destructions of World War I, with partially collapsed buildings and rubble. A few people, including children, stand on the side of the street. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated February 27, 1918, addressed to a woman in Baccarat, mentioning the war and the waiting for a return.
