Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to 'Madame Augusta Bernard, 4 Rue de la République, Marseille', with a note on a solar eclipse observed. Two 5-centime 'République Française' postage stamps affixed at the bottom left and top left, with a partially visible cancellation.
