Postcard showing a group of soldiers from the 84th Infantry Regiment in firing position, under the direction of an officer, in a field bordered by bare trees. The reverse has a handwritten address to 'Monsieur J. Bichat' in Saint-Cannat, with a postmark from 'PEYRANHAN' dated 30 October 1909, and a note stating that the correspondence was not accepted by all foreign countries.
