Scene of the 1909 Grand Manoeuvre in Bourbonnais, showing soldiers in summer uniform gathered near a railway track, some sitting, others standing, with military carts in the background. The back has handwritten correspondence addressed to Madame Marthe Pose in Aubagne, mentioning the end of the manoeuvres and the sender's health. A 10-centime postage stamp of the French Republic, cancelled in Châone-et-Loire on September 28, 1909.
