War scene before the declaration of war showing a French soldier, Trompette Pouget, falling dead after being struck by a German bullet while watching an automobile pass at the border. Printed text at the bottom of the card. Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Monsieur Favre Joseph, Section B, Bormes, with a cancellation stamp of Lefebvre (1914) and a postmark.
