Satirical postcard illustrating a table with cups and a military helmet, accompanied by the text: 'The Cancelled Dinner' and 'Guillaume II had assured his officers that they would dine on August 15 in a grand restaurant in Paris. No restaurant in the capital would agree to host such guests, and in any case, here is the only tableware that could have suited them, containing and contained.' Reverse: publisher A.F. Lagrave, Toulouse, with instruction 'All foreign countries not accepting correspondence on the front, please inquire at the post office'.
