Black and white portrait of a French general in field uniform, wearing a kepi adorned with braid, a belt and epaulettes decorated with stars. The reverse bears the inscription 'Made in France' and 'Fabriqué en France', as well as a series number '400' in the top left corner and a circular postmark in the bottom left.
