Description

Humorous postcard from 1912 depicting a weekday sergeant playing the trumpet to announce the visit, with soldiers in yellow uniforms reacting with surprise or amusement. The reverse contains handwritten correspondence dated September 13, 1912, addressed to Marie Louise in Marseille, and specifies that the card can be sent with five words and a 5-centime stamp. A 5-centime French postage stamp is affixed at the top left of the front.
