Description

Satirical illustration showing two generals, one with a Legion of Honour star and the other with a 'RESERVE' badge, playing chess with pieces representing prisoners. The slogan 'WE PROGRESS 1914' is printed at the top. On the reverse, the card bears the inscription 'All foreigners not accepting correspondence on the front, please inquire at the post office' and a handwritten address 'Jeujo de Daun'.
