View of the Simon House in Pargny-sur-Saulx, severely damaged after the Battle of the Marne from 6 to 12 September 1914. The building shows ruins and debris. On the back, a postcard sent to 'Madame the President of the Society' in Rennes, with a 1914 French postage stamp and a postmark from Paris dated 15 September 1914.
