Description

View of the Impasse du Levant in Reims after a German bombardment in 1914, showing a partially destroyed building with broken windows and fire damage. The reverse contains a handwritten letter dated December 13, 1914, sent to 'Josette' by a sender in Reims, describing the damage caused by the Germans and expressing the hope that the houses are not completely destroyed. The postmark and cancellation are visible.
