Description

Postcard showing the ruins of the church in Sermaize-les-Bains after the Battle of the Marne in 1914–17, with printed text indicating that it was destroyed by the army of the Crown Prince. Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated 25–7–18, addressed to 'Cher André' in Paris, signed 'Rogers' and mentioning 'M. Michaut'.
