Black and white view of the Rue du Poil d’Étain in Soissons, severely damaged by World War I bombing, with partially collapsed buildings and debris scattered along the street. Printed text at the bottom: 'La Guerre de 1914' and '164. SOISSONS — La rue du Poil d’Étain after the bombing'. Reverse: handwritten correspondence dated 18-9-19, addressed to Madame Auguste Dor in L’Andrie, with a mention of her son's illness.
