Description

Dark illustration depicting a German officer in a pointed helmet cursing a crowd, with biblical text at the bottom: 'You shall be cursed, even by the earth which opened its mouth to receive from your hand the blood of your brother' (Genesis Ch.IV, Verse II). Reverse: handwritten message dated 1918 signed by several members of a patriotic group, with a postmark from the 'Galerie Patriotique' in Paris.
