View of Mont-Saint-Michel with its abbey and the dike, a steam train running in the foreground. The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated June 9, 1917, sent to Mr. Chouteau in Bourg-d'Oize, with a red 50-centime stamp and a cancellation from Mont-Saint-Michel.
