Description

Postcard showing the ruins of the fortress castle of Montbazon, with a statue of the Virgin and Child atop the keep. The printed text indicates construction in the 10th century by Foulques Néra, Duke of Anjou, and the addition in 1866 of a 3-meter statue. On the reverse, handwritten text expresses an affectionate exchange and a signature 'Madeleine'.
