Description

Illustration of the Château de Montlhéry, the ancient Château de Montlhéry, built in the 11th century by Thibault, nicknamed Pile-Etoupes, with five enclosures and three terraces. Printed text mentions that it was a real hideout for bandits, the most famous of whom was Guy-Trounelle. Back: postmark with cancellation 'BOURGES CHÂTEAU DE MONTLHÉRY' and stamp 'Souvenir of my Execution at TOUR'.
