View of the apse of the Montpellier Cathedral, with visible Gothic architectural details. The reverse side features a handwritten address to Madame George Poureau in Chartres, an inscription 'Mon cher George, la cathédrale nous a fait plaisir' and a 50-centime French Republic postage stamp cancelled in Montpellier on 12 July 1914.
