Description

Black and white view of Place de la Comédie in Montpellier, with the imposing façade of the theatre in the center, an ornate fountain in the middle of the square and pedestrians scattered around. On the reverse, a handwritten note dated July 12, 1923, addressed to Jean Thiers, mentioning a trip from Nice and a request for thanks for a photo. The publisher is listed as 'Photographie Véritable' and the serial number is 2023.
