Black and white view of the Palace of Justice in Montpellier, with its Ionic columned portico and sculpted pediment. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated June 30, 1940, addressed to parents and to Chérie Bernard, mentioning the liberation of the city after 8 days of siege and the end of the war. Postmark from Montpellier (France) and visible cancellation.
