Description

View of the Faculty of Medicine in Montpellier in 1861, with its stone-fronted building, mullioned windows and two statues on an entrance staircase. On the reverse, printed text indicates 'Reserved side for Correspondence' and 'To be used in the internal system (FRANCE ALGÉRIE TUNISIE)', with handwritten text addressed to M. Gaid in Algiers and a red Montpellier postage stamp dated 5 December 1861, obliterated by a circular postmark.
