Description

Black and white view of the Château de Montsoreau, located on the edge of a watercourse, with ancillary buildings and a hilly landscape in the background. The reverse indicates that the castle belonged to Jean de Chambes in 1573, and that King Louis XI stopped there in 1471. It also mentions that the Lady of Montsoreau is the heroine of Alexandre Dumas' novel.
