Interior view of an underground reinforced concrete monument, with massive pillars and a earthen floor. Panels indicate 'FRANCHIR' and 'LE FRANÇAIS ONONONU'. Printed text at the top: 'Monument of the Baïfonnettes Trench - Interior View, Beyonets Trench's Monument - Inner view. VENTER, architect'. Reverse: handwritten dated text from 30 July 1919, addressed to Mr. Maurice Balvay in Lyon, with mentions of 'Metz' and 'Tours'.
