Tropical landscape of the Middle Congo, with a watercourse and dense forest, where large leaves border the foreground. On the reverse, a handwritten letter dated 27-4-52, addressed to 'Chers François, Bex, Clement', and a postmark indicating 'TRUE PHOTOGRAPHY'. The publisher is 'LA ARTE AFRICAINE - B.P. 57, Paris', with the note '(Photo Robert CARMET)' at the bottom.
