Description

Postcard showing the commemorative monument of Murs, erected in 1889, with a statue on a column and two stone lions at the base, framed by a metal fence. The printed text relates to the battle of July 26, 1793, between the Vendéens and the Republicans. On the reverse, a green 5-centime postage stamp, a postmark from Neufchâtel-en-Bray (Seine-Maritime) dated April 19, 1905, and a handwritten address to Mr. Chemin, 24 rue du Rhin, Paris.
