Sepia painting depicting a maritime storm with a ship in distress and a ruined lighthouse, signed 'Everdingen' and dated 1695. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to 'Ma chère Gisèle' with a mention of 'Chantilly' and a French postmark that is obliterated.
