View of Place Stanislas in Nancy, framed by ornate wrought-iron gates with lanterns and carved motifs. In the distance, the silhouette of the cathedral and the buildings of the square can be seen. The reverse features a handwritten letter addressed to Mr. Eugène and Mrs. J. Carligny in Saint-Martin, as well as a 5-cent green stamp canceled in Nancy.
