Description

View of the Gothic facade of the Nantes cathedral, with an inscription dating from 1434 mentioning the laying of the first stone. Printed text at the bottom: 'The year one thousand four hundred and thirty-four, On the 16th of April, without delay, At the portal of this Church Was laid the first stone.' Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Béguervert in Sanama, with a green 5c stamp and a Nantes dispatch postmark dated 27-16.
