Historical illustration of Napoleon's departure from Rochefort in 1815, with a crowd on the beach and boats at sea. Printed text at the top: '20. Napoleon (8 July 1815) — The Emperor left La Malmaison, went to Rochefort, then to Fouras. On the 14th of July, he imprudently entrusted himself to the English, who exiled him to Saint-Helena.' Reverse: green 5-centime stamp, postmark 'DREUX', handwritten address to Marseille, and correspondence handwriting.
