View of the ruins of the old castle of Nemours, with its conical towers and a canal in the foreground. The reverse side features a handwritten letter dated May 1927 to Madame Chavin in Paris, with a postmark from Nemours dated 9-1-1927. Two green 5-centime stamps are affixed at the top right.
