View of the Ducal Palace of Nevers, a historic building whose construction began around 1475 under Jean de Clamecy and was completed in the 16th century by the Clèves and Gonzague families. The reverse features a handwritten letter dated 16/8, addressed to Mr. Léon Sequare in Paris, with a 5 centimes postage stamp and a cancellation mark.
